App Management
App Management allows users to create, configure, and publish FR Apps — customizable analytics dashboards composed of multiple widgets.
An FR App is a customizable analytics dashboard composed of multiple widgets such as:
- Graphs
- Tables
- KPI Cards
- Process Visualizations
These dashboards help users monitor process performance, business outcomes, and operational KPIs from a single interface.
Navigating to App Management
To access App Management:
- Open Process Settings.
- Click App Management.
The App Management screen displays all available FR Apps.
Creating an FR App
To create a new FR App:
- Click Create App.
- Enter a name for the application.
- Click Add Widget to open the widget configuration panel.
The widget configuration panel opens.
Widget Types
| Widget | Description |
|---|---|
| Graph Widgets | Vertical Bar, Horizontal Bar, Stacked Bar, Line Charts, Combination Charts. Configure KPIs, Dimensions, sorting, labels, axes, and row limits. |
| Card Widgets | Header Value (KPI values) or Business Case Value cards. |
| Table Widgets | Multiple KPIs and Dimensions in structured tabular format. |
Widget Properties
The Properties tab allows customization of visual elements such as:
- Widget title
- Legend visibility
- Axis labels
- Display settings
These settings help tailor dashboards to business requirements.
Creating an FR App
To create a new FR App:
- Click Create App.
- Enter a name for the application.
- Click Add Widget to open the widget configuration panel.
The widget configuration panel opens.
App Management Revamp
The updated App Management experience introduces a widget-based dashboard builder.
New Landing Page
When creating an FR App:
- Users are presented with an icon-based widget gallery.
- Widgets can be added directly to the dashboard canvas.
Advanced Visualization Support
Users can create:
- Two Dimensions vs One KPI visualizations
- Two KPIs vs One Dimension visualizations
- Trend-line enabled charts
- Embedded Process Explorer widgets
- Variant Explorer widgets
- Conformance widgets
For Conformance widgets, a default Ideal Process must be configured.
Viewing an FR App
To view an FR App:
- Click anywhere on the desired row.
- The application opens in view mode.
The widget configuration panel opens.
Editing an FR App
To edit an FR App:
- Click the Edit icon.
- Update the dashboard configuration.
- Click Update.
ℹ️ For Conformance widgets, a default Ideal Process must be configured.
Publishing an FR App
Publishing makes an FR App available in the FR-Analytics dashboard.
To publish:
- Edit the FR App.
- Enable the Publish toggle.
Published changes become immediately available to users consuming the app.
Active/Inactive Status
Only active FR Apps are visible to users in FR-Analytics.
Users consuming a deactivated app receive:
- Email notifications
- In-app notifications
Unsaved Changes Protection
If unsaved modifications exist:
- FUTUROOT prompts users before leaving the page.
- Changes can be saved before exiting.
